Our partner group has worked with some of the most innovative companies in Africa and seen, first hand, the impact that strategic people leaders can have on performance.
Unfortunately, these leaders are the exception, rather than the norm. We observed that most HR leaders are not sufficiently equipped in a rapidly evolving workplace. The majority are undervalued and lack access to world-class programming to expand their leadership, analytics, and innovation skills.
In 2019, we formed an advisory taskforce to address these issues and see how we can bridge the gap between traditional HR practices and a more holistic approach. From this, RIKA was conceived with a singular mandate to nurture HR leaders, who will create deep and lasting value in their companies.
RIKA brings together some of the world’s leading HR practitioners as faculty and speakers. They are united in their passion for transforming fast-growth organisations in Africa and developing the next generation of human capital management leaders.
RIKA Fellows will become the next generation of CHROs, using and managing the disruptive changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Blue Haven Initiative: The lead investor and RIKA founding partner. Blue Haven is an innovative family office with a focus on positive social and environmental change. Blue Haven Ventures has invested in some of the most exciting mission-driven companies in Sub Saharan Africa.
